From fine art to apparel, Kevina is now a freelance artist who works on a range of personal and commercial projects. Her practice has evolved from many years of developing her artistic skills and by working continuously with acrylic paint. She also uses watercolour and acrylic paint merged with other techniques to create compelling and unique works on paper. Recent paintings on canvas include an exploration of the Nude, studies of antique and vintage objects, and curiosities.

Human presence has always been a major element of Kevina’s work. Drawn from a strong sense of the human condition, her acrylic paintings depict figures in an expressive manner. Some of her paintings explore an intimate narrative of femininity, of self-reflection and abandonment. While others reverberate with a unique style, showing intimacy and sensuality, and are painted with strong layers of hues and rapid, colourful brushstrokes. Her aim is to move and connect with the spectator through her artistic practice; to incite people to question and to perceive something, anything...

To see Kevina’s contribution to Stowmarket’s Winter Art Trail, you’ll find it in House of Flower’s shopfront window, which is on Ipswich Street (the main highstreet) The Winter Art Trail runs until January 15th 2022. After that, all the artwork on the trail will be displayed at the new arts bar next door, Pallet.
